ITTP TEFL Online Review

Daniel Kenyon

I did the online TEFL course with ITTP Prague, five years ago, and have been using the certificate ever since to work in many schools around Europe. It has opened many doors for me and for a great price. I have recommended it to quite a few people. I actually loved the course. It was very well structured, challenging but interesting. The scenarios represented, I can now say, were also realistic. My tutor Veronika was very helpful and Neville has also been very helpful and responsive. I did it five years ago and I'm sure they have gone from strength to strength since then. Go for it.

ITTP Prague Review (2)

I took the course onsite in Prague in November 2006 - more than five years ago and I still could not rate this course any higher! I gave up everything to do this course down to my last penny and gained absolutely EVERYTHING from it to the point at which I actually had to turn down work at the end of the course as the offers were just pouring in thanks to the guidance and advice of the course tutors. Speaking of the course tutors, they are all highly trained, professional individuals and alongside the management team, I have remained in regular contact over the years. The post-course support is simply amazing and I couldn't praise it any higher. Every query and every email have all received a quick response and if you don't believe in friends for life, you will after doing this course. The course is intense and over the four weeks you will learn everything you need to know to pass your exams and get a Distinction - I did. Not to mention a LOT of practical experience teaching that you don't necessarily get anywhere else from children in primary school through to older adults in commercial companies and enterprises. The breadth of experience you can get is great. Prague is a wonderful city and I really enjoyed my time living; learning and working there.
There is so much to see and do and you can get around the city extremely quickly thanks to one of the best transport systems I have ever encountered. If you are thinking about doing this course, don't think - just do.

That is my advice, and you can contact me on harry@harryshires.info for any questions about the course as I will be happy to help.

ITTP-TEFL-Review

Evie Prentoulis

I recently changed schools and after 9 years of teaching French and Spanish to high school kids (young adults, really!) I am now an EFL teacher for 6 and 7 year olds in a Montessori school in Prague. Quite a change - and I needed training to teach my own language. Taking the course in July in order to be certified, I found myself returning to the grass roots of teaching. Even with 9 years experience, it was refreshing to be in the classroom as a student once again, and to be taught how to teach my native language by expert instructors. I regained confidence as a educator (after 3 years of doing more to do with bureaucracy and technology than teaching, working hard and never being appreciated) and was delighted with the positive and constructive feedback I got from fellow trainees and from the instructors. ITTP is very well organized and delivers on its promise; the instructors were not only scholars in their field (linguistics and teaching principles and methodology) but also amazing teachers. It was great to be there as a student and to be reminded of what it takes to be an effective teacher - even after so many years of my professional experience as a foreign language teacher. Most or all trainees got a job before the course was even completed and I am sure are embarking on their teaching career with confidence, as I am! I am delighted with the training I got and excited to have a qualification that allows me to work pretty much anywhere in the world.
